Tony Awards

The Tony Awards have announced a number of noncompetitive prizes: the lyricist Sheldon Harnick and the director Marshall W. Mason will receive lifetime achievement awards, Paper Mill Playhouse will receive the regional theater award, and special awards will be given to the National Endowment for the Arts for its support of theater and to Miles Wilkin for his work in the business of touring Broadway shows.

"I would like to think that all our work on Pump Boys and Dinettes, in an indirect way at least, might have helped steer the Paper Mill ship into the arms of the Regional Tony. Congratulations all around!" -JF
