A Tybee Thanksgiving Musical Celebration (Fri-Sat)
Friday, November 25 2016 at 8:00 PM
Tickets $25, Premium $50
It’s Broadway to the Beach in this unbelievable tribute to the Blues, R&B and the holidays with a stellar lineup of artists on stage in this Roof-Raising Benefit for the Post. Thanks to Matthew’s unforgiving visit, the Post Theater, like so much of Tybee, suffered substantial damage and needs a new roof. We hope you’ll help and be blown away (no pun intended) by this show that will have you dancing in the aisles.
Broadway innovator Jim Wann, a part-time Tybee resident, will host and perform at this lively holiday concert, which stars other neighbors and friends: popular standards, soul and gospel singer Kim Michael Polote and Savannah’s “premier Soul and R & B Band,” Tradewinds, accompanied by Steven Bryan, former of The Coasters and Little Anthony and The Imperials.
Wann, the lead composer and leading man of the Broadway hit Pump Boys and Dinettes, says they’ve put together a rousing show that focuses on songs on the theme of community and the theater, such as “Up On The Roof” and “Without Love (Where Would You Be Now)”, a mix of soul, classic rock, pop, standards, and holiday music.
